Through-the-Wall Motion Detection Using UWB Radar Setup:

Through-the-wall motion detection has been done with a UWB SF CW Radar with a frequency range from 9-11 GHz. The radar front-end has been implemented through E8362B Network Analyzer. UWB tapered slot X-band antenna has been designed and simulated in HFSS. Human motion at approximate speed of 1.5 m/s upto a range of 7.5 m behind 1 cm thick wooden wall is detected after heavy wall clutter removal and range calibration. The reported range was in close agreement with actual target range.
